2022 WPPI Image Competition Results

What an amazing time I had at WPPI this year! Listening to the live judging during image competition is my favorite part of the conference. Sitting in a dark room with a panel of judges and listening to them critique your images is such an adrenaline rush. This particular image competition is by far my favorite photography competition because I not only admire so many of the photographers that enter, but also because it places such a huge importance on printing your work. Entries must be printed, matted with a finished size of 16x20 and shipped to the conference. A lot of planning goes into this competition. The complete judging criteria can be viewed here.

This was my second year entering work in the print competition and I am so honored to have brought home a 2nd place trophy from the Individual category in the Portrait Division. I also received one silver distinction from Fashion/Beauty/Fine Art Nude, one silver distinction from Portrait Individual and one silver from Portrait Individual. After receiving 4 honors of excellence points this year and 1 from last year, I am now an Associate of WPPI. I look forward to working towards my Master of WPPI title in the coming years alongside incredible photographers from all over the world.
